Insider Threats

It is the potential for an individual who has or had authorised access to an organisation’s assets to use their access, either maliciously or unintentionally, to act in a way that could negatively affect the organisation. The harm can include malicious, complacent, or unintentional acts that negatively affect the integrity, confidentiality, and availability of the organisation, its data, personnel, facilities, and associated resources.
