About John Lyons
John’s twenty-eight (28) year policing career includes: uniform policing, criminal investigations, overseeing operations and crime analyst at Interpol Ottawa, Problem-oriented Policing training across Canada and design and delivery of a ‘train the trainer’s’ strategy for transferring intelligence analysis and money laundering training know how to Central Europe and Southeast Asia.
Post policing, he investigated private sector property and casualty insurance claims for five years, followed by thirteen (13) years as a healthcare counter-fraud consultant in the Canadian health care system.
John’s current interests are in include public safety and the security of critical infrastructure by introducing new insights to the mix from the ecology of crime and human behavioral biology.
