About Ryan Rambo
Ryan T. Rambo is a defensive counterintelligence, information security, and insider risk subject matter expert with specialized experience in creating and executing programs in the corporate environment. He served in the U.S. Army for 26 years, 16 of which were in counterintelligence, and retired in 2016. After retiring, he established corporate counterintelligence and insider risk programs for two multi-billion-dollar companies and his program served as the glue binding together the physical, cyber, operations, information, and personnel security programs together.
While in the U.S. Army, Ryan served at the tactical, operational, and strategic levels. He also served for four years in a special operations assignment. His overseas tours include three years in the Netherlands, two years in Germany, and three years in the Republic of Korea. His combat deployments include Operation Desert Shield/Storm and three tours in support of the Global War on Terror. His awards include the Legion of Merit, Bronze Star Medal, Meritorious Service Medal, and numerous other commendations and ribbons.
Ryan is a graduate of JCITA’s Advanced Foreign Counterintelligence Training Course (AFCITC – Investigations, Surveillance, and Operations), CI Special Agents Course, and numerous other intelligence related schools.
Ryan was awarded the Ontic Protective Intelligence Honoree award in 2023 and continues to develop his overall understanding of cybersecurity engineering, architecture, and deployment. He is also the cohost of “UnIntelligence: The Corporate Counterintelligence Podcast” which offers insight into developing new corporate counterintelligence and insider risk programs to protect intellectual property and resources against those who wish to do us harm.
